The Cervantes Institute was created by the Spanish government in March 1991, with the aim of meeting the strategic needs of the nation in Spanish language teaching and the promotion of Spanish culture, as stipulated in its founding law. It was born within the framework of the quincentennial celebrations, and against the backdrop of consolidating Spain’s democratization process, which included milestone events such as the Barcelona Olympics and the Seville World Fair.
Over three decades, the Cervantes Institute has established 90 offices on five continents, solidifying its status as a national institution and becoming a fundamental tool of its cultural diplomacy.
The Cervantes Institute’s objective is to universally promote the teaching, research, and use of the Spanish language, and to contribute to the dissemination of Spanish culture abroad. Today, it has become a brand of quality and reputation, with actions always aimed at maintaining and enhancing the quality of the Spanish language.

Project Background

With its increasing socioeconomic development, China is moving towards the world in a more positive and all-round manner. The international community, especially the younger generation, has gradually shifted the focus from the traditional tourism in China to long term plans involving working and living in China. “A country will prosper only when its youth thrive”, therefore, all levels from governments to enterprises are actively promoting exchanges and learning between China and the world‘s youth groups.

Following the launch of the “Millenary Trainee Plan” in China and France in 2015 to promote youth exchanges between the two countries, China and Germany also signed the “Joint Intention Statement of the Government of the People’s Republic of China and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany on the Youth Internship Exchange Program ” in 2018. Exchanges between youth across the world and Chinese youth are increasingly booming.

In recent years, Chinese Testing International have build platforms for expats studying in several universities in China. Top institutions like Tsinghua University, Peking University and Fudan University highly value and have been actively involved in this program. In order to strengthen study and internship opportunities for foreign students in China, through our research and integration of various resources, Chinese Testing International have combined their strengths in language and teaching channels to jointly launch the Chinese-Spanish Language and Culture Exchange Intership Programme. This program works as a platform to display a multi-angle and three-dimensional contemporary China to the world and to get talented people ready for this cross-cultural, trans-regional and globalized era.

Project Objective

Chinese-Spanish Language and Culture Exchange Intership Programme. is initiated and fully supported and recognised by Chinese Testing International, the official state organization for worldwide Chinese language examinations. It offers an immersive experience of business practical training or internship and language&culture study for college studentsl from over the world. It aims to enable international students to master certain Chinese skills in a short period of time through language learning, cultural immersion and business training practices; to understand the latest changes in China’s economy, business model innovation and talent needs. At the same time, it will also help Chinese enterprises to effectively perceive and serve the talent team in the international market, enhance the mutual understanding of multiculturalism between the two sides, and expand their international perspective.

APPLICATION CONDITIONS

  • Aged between 18-35, in good physical and mental health
  • Possessing an academic level equivalent to that of Chinese university or graduate students
  • Native Spanish speakers or those who have obtained the appropriate level of qualification in Spanish.
  • Spanish citizenship
  • Preference will be given to those who have a diploma in Spanish, language education, dance, music, etc., or who have studied a similar subject.
  • Priority admission for applicants with a foundation in Chinese or who have obtained an HSK level

CHINESE LANGUAGE PROGRAM

Fudan Univ. is an authorized HSK Test center. Students can take HSK examinations on campus to evaluate their language level after a certain period of study (Test fee on students own expenses)

CHINA TREK

The CIIC Group provides students with authentic corporate internship positions. Students have the opportunity to receive project-based teaching from senior consultants at Spanish language training institutions. Understand the latest changes in language education institutions, business model innovation, and talent demand. At the same time, through the actual work environment, master the hard and soft skills required for the operation of modern enterprises, and colleagues in the project will receive internship subsidies. The training arrangement will consider the professional background and willingness of the students as much as possible, but it cannot guarantee to meet the different requirements of all the students, and the students should obey the arrangement of the project.

INDUSTRY CONNECTION & CULTURAL EXPERIENCE

Through the visits of different enterprises, students will have an in-depth understanding of company history, culture, business operation core and future strategy in different industries. Through roundtable forums and lectures, students will have close talk with executives of renowned enterprises to discuss the talent requirement and cutting-edge information and development trends in various industries. Through business case study, students will accumulate industry insights and apply theoretical knowledge to real business scenarios. Cultural Topics: International students have access to opportunities of activities to experience the charm of Chinese culture.

Application Procedure

Please log in to the official website of the cross-border e-commerce project http://www.hskgiip.com to browse the project introduction → Fill in your resume and send it to the email contact@hskgiip.com. Please note the email subject should be marked as “2025 CEBC + Applicant’s Name” when submitting the application.

After the application is approved, the cross-border e-commerce project team will contact the applicant via email (contact@hskgiip.com) to guide the applicant through the registration and application process on Fudan University’s online application system. (The online application system URL is: http://istudent.fudan.edu.cn/apply) Applicants are required to send the application number and a screenshot of the registration fee payment to the GIIP project team via email.

After confirming that the applicant’s online application to Fudan University has been successfully submitted, the cross-border e-commerce project team will send the “HSK International Youth Innovation Training Program (Cross-border E-commerce) Service Agreement” to the applicant via email. The applicant is required to print, sign it, and then send it back to the project team.

After the applicant completes the signing and it is confirmed by the cross-border e-commerce project team, the applicant must remit the project fee to the designated account via bank transfer as notified. Please note the remittance with “2025 CEBC + Applicant’s Name” and send the remittance receipt to contact@hskgiip.com.

After receiving the payment voucher, the project team will mail the paper admission notice to the applicant. Upon receiving the materials, the applicant should apply for a Chinese visa on their own. After arriving in China, the applicant should report to Fudan University on the specified date in the admission notice to start the cross-border e-commerce program.

Payment Account

Project fee:RMB 86,800 per academic year

The fee for the first semester is 56,000 yuan, and the fee for the second semester is 30,800 yuan. If the student is self-funded, the fees for the first and second semesters must be paid in full by June 30, 2025, and November 30, 2025, respectively.If the scholarship is provided by a company, it needs to be paid in one lump sum.
